The Gasthöfli Äsch inn has a long and eventful history. The Stäubi Inn, a place of encounter, relaxation, and hospitality, opened here in 1871. For a long time, the small inn remained quiet until it was given new life in 2016: Since then, it has been run with passion and volunteer dedication.

Today, the Gasthöfli Äsch is an authentic alpine inn that welcomes hikers, families, and nature lovers alike. Inside, there's room for around 15 guests, and outside on the sun terrace, up to 40 people can enjoy the panoramic views – with direct views of the impressive Stäubifall waterfall.

We are not interested in a large selection, but in the essentials:

a warm soup after a long hike,
a fine platter to share,
a piece of homemade cake as a sweet ending,
and a welcome that comes from the heart.

The Gasthöfli is a place to linger, breathe deeply, and enjoy – far away from everyday life, in the heart of the mountains.

Our Chronicle

Those who would like to delve deeper into the history of the Gasthöfli Äsch will find a lovingly crafted chronicle here. On approximately 20 pages, it tells the story from its beginnings in 1871, through eventful times, to its reopening in 2016.

The chronicle combines historical facts with personal stories and old photographs – a piece of living alpine history to take home.
